Program areas at Awbury Arboretum Association
Operation of nature, environmental and agricultural educational programs. More than 10,000 children from inner city neighborhoods visit the Arboretum and participate in our educational programs and camps each year. Our educational programs focus on environmental literacy and awareness, and offer children an opportunity to learn about such concepts as adaptaion, habitats, wetlands and food production.
Community engagement: we make a concerted effort to have Awbury Arboretum seen as a hub for community events and programs that will encourage the communitys use and appreciation of the Arboretum. The Arboretum is available for community meetings and social gatherings.
Operation and preservation of a 56 acre public garden and the francis cope house.
