Program areas at B2theworld
B2theworld aims to provide a transformative primary and secondary education to every child impacted by war ensuring that 100% of our students graduate high school and are accepted into university, developing global leaders who will renew, rebuild, and restore their country. In 2023, B2theworld continued to support current programs in kigali, rwanda and pakistan. Through grants, and the deployment of 7 mission-driven educators and school leaders, B2theworld supported transformative education for over 1035 students in pakistan and 362 students in rwanda. 2023 was a year for B2theworld to focus on program expansion in south sudan and cameroon. In south sudan, a full-time country coordinator was hired, making it possible to successfully register B2theworld south sudan and drill a water borehole at a partner school serving 287 students. In addition, B2theworld signed 3 new school partnerships in south sudan as well as facilitated a transformative education training event to 50 teachers, 25 heads of schools, and a 15-member steering committee tasked to launch an anchor school in south sudan. As a result of these school partnerships and trainings, we expect our number of students served in south sudan to increase significantly in 2024. In cameroon, a part-time country coordinator was hired to steer the process of registering B2theworld in cameroon as well as set up an anchor school in 2024. In addition, our team facilitated a training event for 20 heads of schools, and 15 steering committee members all of which enable B2theworld to sign future school partnerships and deliver transformative education in cameroon. The global educators gathering in november continues to be a catalyst to expand the vision of B2theworld and strengthen our current partnerships with professional development, mentorship with our leaders, and strategic mapping at all levels of the organization. B2theworld hosted and facilitated 10 educational leaders in kigali, rwanda to discuss the expansion of b2's transformative education model in south sudan, cameroon, pakistan, democratic republic of congo (goma region), and central africa republic. This has led to further exploratory site visits in 2024 which will lead to B2theworld to serve more children impacted by war in 2024 and 2025.
