Bach Collegium San Diego is a professional orchestra and chorus, presenting historically-informed performances to audiences throughout San Diego county. During the 2021-2022 season, Bach Collegium San Diego presented twelve public performances, including seven mainstage virtual ticketed programs and four admission-free Bach at noon programs. Audiences served included 1,572 paid ticket holders to mainstage performances and approximately 400 people at Bach at noon performances. Bcsd was also invited to perform as the featured musicians at the american choral directors association conference in long beach, ca to nearly 1000 attendees.there are 10 board members, two board members emeritus, and 4 advisory board members.mainstage concerts included a program of works by Bach, telemann, charpentier, and handel. A highlight in 2021 was working with a grammy-winning producer to record bcsd's first ever commercial recording. This recording is currently in post-production and will be released in 2023. Mainstage performances were presented in a number of acoustically-excellent venues in various locations throughout San Diego. An average of 30 musicians performed each mainstage series.bach at home was performed live in point loma at all souls' episcopal church. The admission-free format of Bach at noon allowed people of a variety of demographics to enjoy world class historically-informed performances. Each program was performed by 4-12 musicians, and featured chamber works by Bach and others.
