Provided weekend meals to food-insecure children in Metro Atlanta to enhance their mental and physical health as well as their ability to learn. Bpbma serves over 2,000 children each weekend and plans to increase that number to 5,000 each weekend in the next two yearsfor the 2022-2023 school year, bpbma served 46,901 elementary and middle school children in Metro Atlanta. For calendar year 2023, bpbma served 57,240 children. The number of children served steadily increases monthly as new community Buddies and schools are added.it is estimated that bpbma will serve 68,440 children during the 2023-2024 school year (august 23 - may 24) and 71,160 children during the 2024 calendar year.
