Program areas at Badger Region Volleyball Association
Regional events:the purpose of the regional indoor and outdoor championship and qualifier events is to provide a venue for all members to compete in a large venue event. In addition to providing a quality competitive experience, we also use these events to increase the visibility and awareness of our sport in the state of Wisconsin. By offering events for ages 11 through senior adults, we showcase the sport as a life long activity and part of a healthy, active lifestyle.
Athlete training and services (high performance and youth instructional programs):the purpose of the high performance program is to identify and train athletes that have the potential to play at an elite level and possibly move into the national athlete pipeline. Programs are offered for both male and female athletes, ages 12-17. The high performance program is also an opportunity to identify and train our regional coaches to move into national coaching positions. The purpose of the youth development program is to introduce the sport to youngsters, ages 8-11. The sessions are designed to introduce and train athletic skills with a focus on Volleyball.
Membership services (high performance, youth instruction, officials recruiting & training): additional services provided by membership fees include but are not limited to officials recruiting and training, Volleyball rules instruction and a framework and administration for a safe environment.
Coaches education:various coaching education opportunities, including both in person and online access, designed to enhance experience and knowledge for coaches in order to further develop athletes.
