Bakken Oil Rush Watford City Outreach is a mainstay, western North Dakota resource which helps those in need by providing for physical, spiritual, and social needs so that they can draw closer to Jesus and become positive contributors back to the community.Care. Connect. Collaborate.In 2023 we helped 1109 families with free clothing, winter coats, household items, school supplies, toys and gifts totaling approximately $50,990. This includes our Toy Mall giveaway, where we gave approximately 429 gifts of brand-new toys to children and parent gifts. It is estimated that we spent around $312,000 on wages to present this program to the community.During 2023, the organization grew a garden. The produce from the Garden was distributed free of charge to community members in need. Items were harvested by staff and volunteers. Community members were also invited to harvest the produce and take what they could use. The Organization also started offering language classes (Spanish and English). Classes were offered free to community members. There was a 12-week session beginning in January and one beginning in September of 2023. Classes were held weekly at the local community center to address language and culture barriers existing in our community due to an influx of immigrants.
