Program areas at Balanced
Our Community-Led and Focus on Fiber Advocacy programs drove both public awareness and institutional advocacy campaigns, highlighting the importance of increased dietary fiber in school meals. These programs also provided resources to empower community members to advocate for healthier menus in their local institutions.
The Nutrition for Families program developed evidence-based nutrition resources and practical tools for health professionals and families interested in the science supporting plant-based diets.
Our Institutional Support Program collaborated with school districts, partner nonprofits, and other institutions to design health-promoting menus, assist with procurement, source recipes, promote healthier options, and provide comprehensive technical support tailored to their needs.
