Conservation, outdoor recreation, outdoor education summitduring this fiscal year, Ball Brothers Foundation hosted a conference focused on the environment, outdoor education and outdoor recreation. Over 30 individuals participated in the event, including Ball Brothers Foundation grantees, their counterparts from other regions, and representatives of other foundations. Ball Brothers Foundation facilitated the two-day event with the purpose of providing nonprofits the opportunity to share best practices, network, and seek solutions to common challenges. The conference specifically focused on the concept of "partnerships" and strategies for developing strong, mutually-beneficial partnerships and collaborations. Highlights included: a site visit to prairie creek reservoir with tour of key conservation/recreation sites, a keynote speaker, and a presentation by each participating organization underscoring important lessons learned that may be replicable or beneficial for other participants.
