Independent living: park place towers is a full service retirement center for people age 62 and over. The 10 story building consists of 133 independent living apartments providing complete accommodations and Services. Park place towers has set aside living space that is provided on a charity basis. The unreimbursed value of providing this space was $0.00. The continental is a full service retirement center for people age 62 and over. The 10 story building consists of 112 independent apartments. The continental has set aside living space that is provided on a charity basis. The unreimbursed value of providing this space was $0.00.the harrington is a retirement apartment for people age 62 and over. The two story building consists of 59 apartments.plemons court and the talmage is a retirement apartment complex for people age 62 and over. The complex consists of 156 apartments. Plemons court and the talmage has set aside 40% of its apartments for low-income housing. These units are leased at a reduced rate to families and individuals whose income is 60% or less of the area median gross income. The company assumed operations of plemons court and the talmage effective december 1, 2023.
Assisted living: the moore assisted living center offers assistance with daily living activities, medication supervision, and other amenities providing an intermediate level of care between independent and nursing home care. The two story building consists of 66 apartments.the sycamore offers assistance with daily living activities, medication supervision, and specialized amenities for residents requiring memory care. The one story building consists of 48 apartments.the assisted living centers have set aside living space that is provided on a charity basis. The unreimbursed value of providing this space was $190,884.
Nursing facility: ware memorial care center (wmcc) is a licensed nursing facility. Wmcc is licensed for 120 beds. Wmcc provides care on a charity basis. The unreimbursed value of this care was $18,973. On a limited basis, wmcc provides care to qualifying residents under the medicaid program. This care is reimbursed by medicaid at rates less than wmcc's established rates. The medicaid reimbursement was less than wmcc's established rates by $605,582.
Baptist Community Services (bcs) provides chaplaincy Services to its residents and employees in the retirement Community. The chaplaincy program includes bible studies, spiritual counseling for both residents and employees, hospital visitation, funeral and memorial Services, campus wide special religious events, and directing the bcs employee benevolence fund. This program is partially funded by contributions from the Baptist general convention of Texas. In january 2013, bcs formed snack pak (snack pak) 4 kids of Texas, llc with bcs as the lone member. The mission of snack pak is to end weekend hunger for children living in the Texas panhandle by providing a backpack filled with brand new, brand name kid-friendly snacks each friday of the school year. Currently 14,500 children receive a snack pak every weekend. Approximately 5,500 persons volunteered for the snack pak program. Volunteers prepared, packed, and distributed the food. Snack pak has expanded its program to include snack shak, a program providing shelf stable food items to high school students living in food insecure homes. The tillie project, a program providing a weekly box of food items to grandparents raising grandchildren in food insecure homes, and nutrition 4 change, a program working with medical providers, nonprofit organizations, local governments, and colleges to assist with their employees who face situational food insecurity.
