Although reimbursement for services rendered is critical to the operation and stability of Baptist Memorial hospital-calhoun, Inc., it is recognized that not all individuals possess the ability to purchase essential medical services, and further, that our mission is to serve the community with respect to providing health care services and health care education. Therefore, in keeping with its commitment to serve all members of its community, Baptist Memorial hospital-calhoun, Inc. Provides the following:- free care and/or subsidized care where the need and/or an individual's inability to pay coexist,- care provided to persons covered by governmental programs at below cost, and- health activities and programs to support the community.these activities include wellness programs, community education programs, and special programs for the elderly, handicapped, medically underserved, and a variety of broad community support activities.baptist Memorial hospital-calhoun, Inc. is a 25-bed acute care hospital serving patients and their families in calhoun county and the surrounding counties of north Mississippi, centrally located between oxford, starkville and grenada.baptist Memorial hospital-calhoun, Inc. also features a 120-bed nursing home located adjacent to the hospital, a 24-hour emergency department, outpatient care, rehabilitation, diagnostic imaging, and radiology.the hospital became an affiliate of the Baptist Memorial health care system on 10/1/16. This affilation has enabled Baptist Memorial hospital-calhoun, Inc. to offer a wider range of medical services to the communities that it serves. Some of our facilities also provide an interdisciplinary team approach to sub-acute care for medically complex patients needing dialysis, wound care, intravenous antibiotics and rehabilitative services, among others.the hospital admitted 271 patients and had 12,229 outpatient registrations during fy2023. The largest outpatient program for the fiscal year was physical/occupational/speech therapy rehabilitation services.
