Program areas at The Barn House Community

Program accomplishments involves rescuing animals in distress, providing them with medical care and sheltering them until they are ready for adoption. To maximize our impact, we have a primary focus on shelter alleviation. In 2023, we were The number one intake partner for The Arizona humane society, alleviating over 150 animals from The shelter who were on The "long-timers list or had a medical need to be tended to. We also operate a food pantry that provides animal food and materials to those with pets who are looking for assistance in keeping them, in addition to sharing food with other rescues in need. Our catalyst companion program provides seniors in need of companionship with an animal and any needs associated with that animal, including a servicing volunteer. We actively participate in educating The Community by offering tours and projects for scouts and other youth groups to help them understand The animals in our Community and their needs.
The organization also provided tnr (trap, neuter, return) services for Community cats during The year. This part of The program was discontinued mid 2023.
