Program areas at Batavia Artists Association NFP Water Street Studios
The organization offers high quality programs that include art education classes, workshops, and community outreach. The education program provides classes in a wide variety of mediums, including drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics, metalworking, jewelry making, encaustic, and more. Just under 1,000 students are served every year. Over 700 free art sessions are made available to children, teens, and families through the outreach programs. The outreach programs partner with local schools and organizations to make the arts accessible to those who would not otherwise have the arts.
The organization offers 25 subsidized artist Studios for emerging and professional Artists. The organization offers all resident Artists the opportunity exhibit, teach, and sell artwork on the premises. The organization also offers a maker-space program that provides access to specialized print, ceramics, and metal equipments for self-directed Artists.
The organization has over 4,000 square feet dedicated to gallery space for the curated works of local, national, and international Artists. The galleries exhibit 24 shows annually. They host events including workshops, lectures, performances, and private parties in the galleries for the art is made more accessible to the community.
