Beebe Medical Center

General Medical surgical patient care. Beebe Medical Center experienced 10,687 discharges in 2023 resulting in 51,085 patient days of which 7,000 discharges and 35,665 patient days were covered under the medicare program. The medicaid program covered 1,465 discharges and 6,746 patient days. Additional volumes achieved in 2023 include 61,640 emergency visits; 17,193 operating room cases of which 88 were open heart surgeries; 5,830 cardiac catheterization procedures; and 222,192 outpatient imaging procedures. Total self-pay inpatient days were 542 and self-pay discharges were 137 in 2023.

The margaret d rollins school of nursing continues to be fully certified. The school had a total of 52 student enrolled in fy23, 23 seniors and 29 first year students.

Beebe homehealth (bhha) program covers eastern sussex county. In 2023, bhha admitted 3,628 new patients and had an active caseload of 6,358 patients. There were a total of 38,880 visits during the year.
