The lei poina'ole project is a three-year project (09/30/2022-09/29/2025) awarded to behawaii.orBehawaiiorgrg and funded by the administration for native americans, an office of the administration for children & families in the united states department of health & human services; and a social and economic strategies grant by ana which promotes social and economic self-sufficiency in communities via projects designed to reduce or eliminate community problems and achieve community goals. At the end of the three-year project, the outcomes include supporting eight (8) existing lei flower grower and 16 new growers across the islands of o'ahu, molokai and hawai'Hawaii'i island in supporting new and/or expanded networks, increased resources, and new and/or expanded economy(ies) of scale.
Make music Hawaii is Hawaii's celebration of the now worldwide event called make music day a free celebration of music around the world on june 21st. Launched in 1982 in france as the fte de la musique, it is now held on the same day in more than 1,000 cities in 120 countries.
