Program areas at Being Alive San Diego
HOPWA - The HOPWA Helping Hands Moving Project assists people suffering from HIV/AIDS to move their personal belongings. The HOPWAS Utility Assistance Project provides utility assistance payments to individuals with HIV/AIDS.
Other Programs - Being Alive provides information and education services to over 8,000 individuals annually. These include low income, disabled, and homeless HIV infected individuals in San Diego. BASD collects tickets from local theatres and other venues. BASD then distributes these tickets to clients.
ADAP- Being Alive San Diego has a fee for services agreement with the State of California to provide enrollment and consuling regarding the Aids Drug Assistance Program ADAP. This is a prescription drug and insurance assistance program that is funded by the Ryan White CARE legistlation and state funds. Being Alive San Diego is paid for the enrollment services.
