Belt Performing Arts Center

Advancement of Arts and education:in alignment with its mission to advance youth, amateur and professional live theatrical and artistic productions in Belt and the central Montana region, to enrich the lives of its residents and youth through exposure to and participation in the humanities, the Belt Theater Company kicked off its fifth season which included 8 performances. Four artists were able to do educational outreach with the local school and students were offered the opportunity to interact with a professional artist both at the school and the Theater. The Theater hosted the third annual community concert event, beltstock, at the local rodeo grounds. Additionally, "mine tailings" - a series of plays based on the organization's "Belt story oral history project - was performed this summer.
