Program areas at Benaiah Ministries Group
The Benaiah Ministries Group is a multifaceted ministry that seeks to primarily support and benefit those who are active in their recovery from addiction. In addition, the ministry provides community parachurch work in the field of community Bible Studies and training. The ministry accomplishes its primary focus by operating a Sober Living House. Studies have overwhelmingly shown that those in recovery are far more successful in maintaining their sobriety when they transfer from a residential drug and alcohol recovery program and into a Sober Living House for a period of up to six months. Benaiah Ministries provides a 10-bed house for those coming out of these residential programs. While there, they work on their sobriety skills by attending nightly meetings; they build their life skills by working full time with local employers and other provided training such as CPR, First Aid, and Basic Financial Skills. Finally, as AA teaches, Benaiah Ministries helps these men connect with their High Power to support their recovery. Accountability comes from random drug and alcohol testing as well. Finally, Benaiah Ministries operates several Community Bible Studies as well as supporting or partnering with other local community organizations like the Food Pantry to support our community needs.
