Bendnext engaged local partners to create an educational event for those new to central Oregon, where they can learn about the history of the region, our local government, challenges and opportunities, then find their pathways to community and civic engagement. Their goal is to incorporate the tremendous talent moving into the area into local problem solving and community stewardship.in 2023, bendnext:planned and held an inclusive workplaces training for 165 individuals representing 80 different organizations.developed resources to fund the workforce housing initiative, with a goal of increasing housing availability for those earning between 80-120% of area median income. - invested in a comprehensive community education campaign - funded a pilot workforce housing development project with rooted homes expanded the mentorship program for young professionals. Graduated 30th leadership bend class.celebrated lb milestone wth 150+ alumni and supporters.bendnext held more than 30+ unique programming sessions including: - bend 101 for new resident learning and civic engagement (3) - dei traning sessions (4) - leadership bend 9-month program days (11) - 2023 leadership bend graduation - leadership bend 30th anniversary milestone celebration - young professionals (yp) summit educational conference - yp socials, relationship building events (12) - yp expert labs, professional education sessions (7)
