Program areas at Benevilla

Adult life enrichment programs: four adult life enrichment day programs in the northwest valley providing social, physical, and mental stimulation integral to successful aging. Each program's uniquiness addresses the specific needs of older adults living with alzheimer's disease, chronic illness, or intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our service Area includes the cities of el mirage, glendale, peoria, Sun City, Sun City west, and surprise. We partner with the Area agency on aging, veterans administration, Arizona department of economic security, first things first, and many other organizations to maximize our service to Area residents, for people who might be at risk to develop alzheimer's. All four of our life enrichment day programs are accredited through carf (commission on accreditation of rehabilitation facilities), exceed the expectations of the department of health Services and maintain best practices in the field of adult day Services. Each program provides analternative to institutional care and helps older adults remain independent at home for as long as possible.
Family resource center: the family resource center works to strengthen families with children five years and under. The program offers classes, events and a library of community resources. Families served including grandparents raising grandchildren. The service territories include the northwest maricopa region including glendale, peoria, Sun cities, surprise, el mirage, waddell, wittman, wickenburg, morristown and aguila.
Wirtzie's child development center: the wirtzie's goal is to provide a community where relationships are built and everyone contributes and belongs. Because each child is unique, the wirtzie's curriculum is designed to find the optimal balance of structure and freedom for a child's particular needs. The program is certified rated 4 stars through quality first and is nationally accredited from the national accreditation commission for early care and education programs.
Volunteer home Services: volunteers are the hearts and hands of Benevilla by providing assisted transportation to medical appointments, grocery shopping, friendly visitors, handyman Services, business assistance, and phone pals. Volunteers provide 10,642 hours of service. In 2020, Benevilla free home Services program provided much needed Services to seniors trapped in isolation during the covid-19 pandemic. 1,138 grocery deliveries were made and 1,818 rides were given to community members in the west valley.transportation: members are transported to our adult life enrichment day programs and back to their homes at the end of their stay each day. Our dedicated transportation specialists transport our members arm in arm and they are specially trained to work with older adults with chronic illness. They are compassionate and enjoy their members and get to know thefamilies that they serve. Due to covid 19 we temporarily stopped providing transportation to our adult life enrichment programs.benvilla c.a.r.e.s. Info & resource specialists: Benevilla provides education and information to community free of charge. Resource specialists can answer a wide variety of questions like, how to find a ride to the doctor or how to find a reputable home care service. Highly trained resource specialists have access to a database of over 1,000 providers and agencies, including Benevilla member and volunteer Services, community businesses, government agencies, and other resources to help the community we serve remain independent at home. In 2020, 1,658 community members continued to reach out for valuable and vetted resources and guidance through our Benevilla c.a.r.e.s. Program.voluntary recruitment: volunteers are crucial in making the mission of Benevilla a reality byneighbors helping neighbors. In 2020, 201 dedicated Benevilla volunteers yearned to support their neighbors in need and continued to provide vital Services where they could. Volunteers find a variety of opportunities to make a meaningful difference and develop close relationships that will enrich their life and the lives of others.caregiver support groups: taking care of someone can be difficult. Benevilla support groups offer friends who can relate to your daily ups and downs and professionals who offer information and assistance. In 2020, Benevilla provided support to 1,144 caregivers in the community, free of charge. Connecting with peers who are going through similar experiences can make a positive impact on the caregiver's life. Caregivers also benefit Sun City Area Interfaith Services, Inc. 86-0404687 from hearing speakers who can educate and provide answers to many questions. Benevilla also provided 268 life coaching sessions to those seeking one-on-one guidance and support.other Services include intake, food Services and benefitness.
