Program areas at Bergstrom-Mahler Museum
Bergstrom-Mahler Museum of glass with significant community input re- envisionined its mission, vision and created a new strategic plan. The Museum achieved re-accreditation in march of 2023 from the american alliance of museums, making it one of only 11 museums in the state of Wisconsin that has this gold standard distinction for ethics, professionalism, and programs to serve its public. The Museum welcomed over 17,400 visitors in fy23. The Museum presented its first ever glass arts festival in august of 2022 that included over 30 nationally located glass artists, kids activities, glass blowing demos and welcomed over 3,500 visitors.
The Museum increased its educational programs to now include classes on tuesdays, thursdays, saturdays and sundays to meet the public demand. Last fy we taught and presented over 164 programs many featuring our new mobile furnace. Educational programs including classes, camps, lectures and demos (in-house and community based).
