Bgs x sdgs lab leadership conference: Beta Gamma Sigma believes business is a force for global good, which is why we partnered with the foundation for environmental stewardship (fes) and the sdgs launch project to bring members a conference that connects, educates, and empowers participants to be catalysts for change in their communities. Through several speakers, workshops, and a case competition, participants have the opportunity to reflect and build on their understanding of sustainable development. The program consisted of both live and pre-recorded virtual settings that took place between february 3-4, 2023. Participants had the opportunity to work with fellow students around the globe through a case competition. Lastly, all bgs members had a chance to take part in our pre-launch of the event by joining one of our partner virtual roundtable discussions.
Alumni network: the Beta Gamma Sigma (bgs) alumni network connects members both virtually and in-person. Providing professional networking opportunities, professional development, social events and service opportunities to local communities, the network increases bgs' worldwide presence while providing lifetime value to our members. In fy 2022-2023, there were 35 member events held worldwide, through 32 alumni chapters and 22 networking groups.the network is further supported by bgs programs. Service opportunities are supported through our world-wide partnership with junior achievement, through which alumni chapters can easily plan volunteer activities. The bgs alumni career design program supports our alumni members' long-term career success, by providing coaching in form 990, part iii, line 4b, program service accomplishments: career-pathing and goal setting. This virtual program also provides networking opportunities, as alumni members complete the program in cohort groups of approximately 50 members at a time. Members support one another throughout the program and have the opportunity to make lifelong connections. Furthermore, bgs career central supports our alumni members' professional development and career outlook by providing access to curated career content, programs, webinars and exclusive member offers. The bgs advantage webinar series offered free hour-long webinars for all bgs members. Each topic was unique but had the overarching goal of providing career advice, insight and professional skill building, leveraging subject matter experts and partners of bgs.
