Program areas at Beta Pi Sigma Sorority Incorporated
The Sorority provided scholarship funds for students, particularly those in financial need. The Sorority plans and stages programs to foster contributions from Sorority members, businesses and the public. Using specific guidelines, the scholarship committee reviews student applications and rates the applications using a scoring instrument. The scholarships are awarded from each chapter and the national level. The scholarships are generally paid directly to the university or college.
The Sorority makes donations to charitable,civic, other nonprofit organizations and to needy individuals. The purpose is to promote the welfare of the community and provide relief to those in need, due to death, impoverished or adversity to conditions, or other destitute circumstances. The purpose also includes assistance to persons with burned homes, providing toys and school supplies, providing food vouchers at thanksgiving, contributions to the united negro college fund, battered womens shelter facilities and other nonprofit civic and community programs.
The chapters provide program activities during the year. The program activities include: annual christmas gala, founders day events, providing thanksgiving vouchrs and other programatic activities.
Beta Pi Sigma Sorority, inc. has an annual conference and annual meeting. The purpose of the events are to provide the financial members with the opportunity to network, motivate each other for the purpose of stimulating member enthusiasim, to exchange ideas for the best practices of the sororitys mission and to elect the board of directors and national officers.
