Better Block Hawaii

Better Block Hawaii partnered with local businesses, community organizations, and artists to implement a wide range of improvements, in lihue, kauai. A comprehensive improvement plan for downtown rice street corridor was created via community planning sessions. This plan included street trees, community gardens, bus shelters and pedestrian improvements, as well as community programming such as street festivals. Most of these were implemented by volunteers. Better Block Hawaii also began a planning process for street improvements and murals in waipahu and honolulu.
