Program areas at Bike Miami Valley Ohio
Primary program is link, which expanded from 27 hubs to 37 Bike sharing hubs within the dayton, Ohio metro area. Link attracted more than 2,800 unique users to the Bike share program that took more than 19,000 trips in 2022.
Planning began for the third program in late 2022. The Miami Valley cycling summit, which is held biennially began fundraising for the conference-style event in 2022 and accepted a few donations before the end of the year. The summit is scheduled to take place in may of 2023.
Second program is regional advocacy committee ("rac"). Through rac, Bike Miami Valley supported various important pro-cycling initiatives within local and regional areas. Local rac chapters, comprised of centerville, piqua, yellow springs, kettering and springfield, groups held virtual webinars and socially distant cycling education classes during the covid-19 pandemic.
