Our organization's second largest program is our Breakthrough Initiative where we provide basic necessities to anyone in need. At our organization, we firmly believe that every individual should have an equal chance to achieve their maximum potential. We strongly oppose any circumstances that hinder a child's education, especially when it is due to a lack of essential items such as food, clothing, footwear, and toys. We are fully aware of the difficulties faced by families who are forced to make the difficult choice between providing their child with a quality education or meeting their basic needs. In order to address this issue, our primary objective is to establish social and educational fairness for all children. To accomplish this, we actively coordinate and carry out initiatives including drives to collect food, clothes, shoes, toys, hygiene products and other accessories that we later donate to the communities at our different giveaway events and workshops. By doing so, we strive to ensure that each individual's fundamental requirements are fulfilled, enabling them to focus on their education without any hindrances. We also have established partnerships with different stores to collect donations of assorted goods to be distributed in the communities in need. From September to December 2023, we have served more than seven thousand (7000) immigrants and homeless in New York and New Jersey through our Share The Warmth program.
Our ultimate goal is to empower individuals and connect them to the resources they need to achieve their goals. We believe that by providing equal opportunities and support, we can help individuals overcome barriers and reach their maximum potential. Through our workshops, training programs, networking events, and community outreach efforts, we are committed to making a positive impact in the lives of those we serve. Our workshops focus on essential skills such as resume building, job training, and skills development. These sessions are designed to empower individuals by equipping them with the knowledge and tools they need to succeed in their chosen fields. By offering these workshops, we aim to bridge the gap between individuals and the resources they need to thrive in their careers. In addition to our workshops, we actively participate in community events organized by other organizations. This allows us to extend our services and support to a wider audience. By attending these events, we can connect with individuals who may not have been aware of our organization or the resources we offer. Through these interactions, we strive to create meaningful connections and provide assistance to those who need it most.
Our organizations mission is to provide tools and resources that suits the unique needs of each person to be successful in school and in life. To achieve this mission, we have created a free STEM tutoring and language support program to help the community. We strongly believe that every student should have equal opportunities and access to quality education in the STEM fields. Our aim is to bridge the educational gap and empower these students to excel in their academic pursuits. The impact of our program has been significant in supporting minority students. Our achievements include providing personalized tutoring sessions, tailoring lessons to meet each student's individual needs and learning styles. Through our program, we provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment where people feel safe, welcome and comfortable and valued. We track and assess student progress to ensure they are making improvements in their academic performance. Testimonials from participants highlight the positive outcomes of our program, such as increased confidence in math/reading and significant grade improvements. ESL program has helped many students and parents especially the immigrant community by improving their communication skills, which has enhanced their ability to navigate daily life, employment, and engage with their children's education. The program has been a game-changer, providing much-needed support to academically struggling students and equipping them with the necessary tools for success. About 600 benefited from this program.
