Annual conference: The annual meeting of the Biocommunications Association was held in Portland Oregon June The conference included a series of lectures and workshops along with a juried media exhibition, to provide for the attendees, the latest information, and techniques, on visual media in the life sciences and medicine
BCA website www bca.org The organization's website is an electronic online format for distributing information to the international Professional association of people working in the biological communications field. It assists all in mazimizing success, using images webinars podcasts, programs, 1n a collegial network to offer advice and answerw to work related questions All educational recourses contained in the website are freely available to the public. This year there was continued significant redesign with added recourses. ooo
BCA YouTube channel: We have undertaken the task of producing, and accepting video tutorials on many aspects of visual communications i.e. photography, videography, microscopy, etc. for the purpose of making these educational resources available the association community and the public at large. We have also bequn videotaping most of the lectures from our annual meetings and making them available on the YouTube channel as well. We are currently over 700 subscribers to the BCA YouTube channel
