Birth Roots

Prenatal, postnatal & toddler parenting classes - in 2023, Birth Roots conducted 9 welcoming pregnancy classes; 14 newborn feeding classes; 21 newborn care classes; 29 childbirth education series; 4 making sense of medical interventions classes; 6 preparing for postpartum classes; 24 newborn buds series; 8 sprouts baby series; 5 little siblings series; 5 toddler parenting classes; 9 toddler music classes; and 24 baby Roots nature camp series. Our classes and series were attended by 859 unique families, many of whom attended two or more classes or series in 2023.

Program development - the Birth Roots model of programming and facilitation requires a continuous feedback loop that informs adjustments to course content and facilitation across all of our class offerings. In addition to core curricula updates in 2023, Birth Roots focused on program development in piloting a new shared identity parenting groups program.
