The process whereby this art is created, the means by which it is displayed, and that character of the work itself should inspire immediate actions that connect people to one another in a larger communal context.
Civic Arts: in 2005 braf initiated our civic Arts program, a new model for public art placement. The program frequently works with existing artworks, many recognizable from the burning man community. By installing these works publicly, braf exposes these works to new audiences. New contexts are created, and the impact and relevance of the artworks evolve in unexpected and compelling ways, unique to each community.
