Program areas at Black Sheep Foundation

The Foundation's first and most important task is to totally reimagine the way we learn about personality disorders. The effectiveness of an awareness program is not just the number of people you reach, but how well they understand, retain, and apply what you told them to their own life. Currently, anyone who wants to learn about one specific personality disorder must comb through a mountain of paper and pixels. It can take months of dedicated reading, viewing, listening, and discussing before people get the basics and apply them to their own life. This inefficient, ineffective system was largely created due to the requirement (or perceived requirement) that educators must explain sophisticated concepts in great detail to an uninformed and less educated public, using a jargon-filled technical manual written by psychiatrists to aid clinicians in diagnosing mental illness, treating it, and getting reimbursed for it. This approach is not working.the Foundation's graphic approach will carry over to everything we create, whether it be a printed piece, a website, a youtube video, and much more. Branding and simplifying specific personality disorders, is an innovative approach that will speed up this process and make it less arduous.
