Program areas at Black Thistle Street Aid
In 2023 we received two grants. One for $250,000 from seeding justice for our reproductive health program, and the other grant $10,000 from siletz tribal foundation for our medical supports. We provided hotel stays, wraparound services including medical appointments, transportation, hygiene and medical supplies and prescription assistance, renting a workspace and stipends for several contracted services. The grants were extended into 2024 to complete spending the remainder of the funds.in 2023, our team served 1900 individuals, 150 medical patients, filled 60 prescriptions, over 250 herbal medicines, and tended over 80 wounds in the field. We provided over 175 nights in hotels with stays of 3-5 nights.
