Program areas at Black Youth Leadership Project
The legistlative open house provides students with a hands on look at the legistlative process in the state of California. Encourages students to hone their Leadership, critical thinking, and public speaking skills using the art of persuasion to convince peers to vote on various bills that impact their communities.
Bylp advocacy services - this service free of charge to families in the community provides assistance addressing complaints from families and helping them mitigate their issues with teachers, school administrators, and other district personnel.
Black graduation celebrations validates the Black student's accomplishments, presents them before the community to be acklowledged for their perserverance, and allows the community to come together in a display of love, unity, and support.
