Blessman executes their mission by raising funds and making regular contributions to Blessman International south africa (Blessman sa), a south african not for profit organization. Funding from Blessman in 2023 provided for the construction of 14 new toilet units at rural schools and child development centers. The sports complex continued to provide a gospel-centered atmosphere of friendly sports competition in soccer and net ball. Lights were installed with the generous support of musco lighting which allows the use of the facility at night. Blessman also distributed 6,813 reusable feminine hygien kits to girls, 575 pairs of shoes, and 1,010 pairs of eye glass to south african children. The celebrate recovery program continues to grow, and we currently have 200 young adults attending weekly meetings to combat additictions, mental health, hurts, and hangups. We continue to drill wells to supply needed drinking water to schools and have drilled an additional 11 wells in 2023, including water meters to record teh amount of water supplied. We continue the child sponsorship program (one child at a time) where sponsors from the us can sponsor a child for $31/month or $372/year to provide food, education assistance, and spiritual formation. Currently, 92 children are sponsored with the goal to have 200 children sponsored by the end of 2024. Blessman has a connection of 11 feeding hubs through south africa, eswatini, and lesotho that allows us to feed 45,000 children 3-5 meals each week. We also host training to instruct children and families on growing gardens at schools, hospitals, and at their homes.
