Program areas at RootED

Strategic partner - Rooted will coalesce partners in support of a vision and strategies to improve academic outcomes, and hold all of the stakeholders accountable for achieving those outcomes, Rooted's independence will allow it to approach this task with urgency, long-term commitment and stability, and a focus on both high quality schools and equity. Rooted believes that the best way for our public education system to dramatically expand access to a high quality education for all children is to support school autonomy and autonomous leaders and empower and partner with the communities most impacted by educational inequity.
Advocate -Rooted will work to ensure the existence of a policy environment that supports the success of quality schools. Rooted will seek an environment where school leaders and communities have the autonomy they need to make and advocate for decisions in the best interests of students: where schools operate under clear performance expectations and accountability and where parents/families are provided information and agency to make informed choices for their children, and have resources that are equitably allocated to support high quality education.
Investor - Rooted will raise and coordinate the use of philanthropic resources aligned with achieving the organizations mission. Rooted will ensure that the resources available are aligned with effective high quality seats and community partnership strategies and are used to support the most critical strategies, tactics, and partners. Rooted will focus on investments in quality school development, community empowerment partnership/advocacy and effective school leader and teacher talent.
