Program areas at B'nai B'rith Hillel Foundation Stony Brook University
General programs - this includes programs that are not explicitly included in holidays, engagements, or israel. Examples of programs included here are weekly bagel brunches for students, university welcome week programs, programs for russian-speaking students, professional development programs, and more.
Staff engagement - members of our staff took students out for coffee to discuss their Jewish identity and what they're looking for from Hillel. This is a primary component of certain staff members' portfolios.
Israel - one of the key parts of our mission and vision of the organization is for students to build an enduring commitment to Jewish Life, learning, and israel. This class includes programs related to hosting events and educational opportunities around israel and one of our key staff members whose sole job is israel engagement and education.
Other programs that include Jewish university, hanukkah, high holy days, jsa, passover, shabbat, other holidays, sukkot, tzedek wellness, interfaith center, Jewish learning, jlf, and religious Life.
