Program areas at Boca Raton Children's Museum
Exhibitsthe Museum itself is an idyllic setting designed to spark creativity, imagination, social skills, team work, problem solving and fun through The interaction with our changing hands- on exhibits. Children can be entrepreneurs, actors, astronauts, store managers, doctors, bankers, singers, cooks construction workers and so much more. More than 25,000 visitors spend quality time with each other each year. Scheduled classes and activities take place daily to include, but not limited to; introduction to art, storytelling, sports clinic, imagination play- ground, music and movement, yoga, and movie making. Local schools and child care centers bring children to The Museum to expand their awareness and experiences that will enhance their development.
The traveling Museum also known as outreach and artreach is a program provided by The Children's Museum staff, most often in low-income schools and childcare centers, where transportation and opportunities for quality art and cultural enrichment programs are unavailable. Programs include but are not limited to; art, science, culture, storytelling and imagination, which are all aimed at increasing Children's potential and enhancing their ability to think for themselves and problem solve in a creative manner. This program serves more than 1000 underserved, special needs and deserving children annually.
