Program areas at Boilermakers Association of Greater New York

Labor relations: we represent our members in negotiation of the industry-wide collective bargaining agreement. We serve as liaison between our members and Boilermakers local lodge no. 5. Our work includes addressing mutual concerns between the Association and the union in an effort to maintain a productive work environment.
Industry advocacy: we serve as liaison to important industry organizations including building trades employers Association (btea), subcontractors trade Association (sta) and the New York building congress on issues relating to the concerns of our members.
Up-to-date communications: we keep members informed and advise them on compliance issues affecting contractors including changes in laws, legislation and regulations on the local, state and federal levels. This includes but is not limited to safety training, sick leave, and anti-harassment laws.
Branding and public relations: we encourage members to use our logo as part of their letterhead and sponsors decals and customized safety vests for member companies to promote both the Association and the Boilermakers industry at large. Bagny has a public relations and marketing initiative which includes our website, select advertising programs and periodic news alerts.
