Program areas at BOMB Magazine

BOMB publishes nearly 400 features every year, with a focus on interviews between artists and writers at all stages of their careers. We also publish new fiction and poetry, visual arts portfolios, and short and long-form essays on arts, performance, and literature. BOMBs programs include a quarterly print magazine, a daily online publication, an online archive of all previously published features, the Oral History Project, and FUSE: A BOMB Podcast. BOMB launched a new website in January 2024, which makes our 40+ year archive newly accessible through better design and curated content. BOMBs Oral History Project, which collects, documents, and preserves the stories of distinguished visual artists of the African Diaspora, has expanded to include the cities of New Orleans, Chicago, and Detroit. In 2024, BOMB refreshed its list of contributing editors, which now features 99 editors from across the United States, representing a broad range of disciplines, practices, career levels, and locations. BOMB reaches an audience of nearly one million readers annually.
