Bombazo Dance Co

We are a 501 c3 drum dance company, whose mission is to preserve, educate and showcase traditional afro, Puerto Rican and Afro Caribbean and traditional folkloic elements. We further combine those main ingredients and fusing them with classical, contempoary and social styles of dance. Thus, creating a new movement vocabulary while still preserving the authenticity of our culture. The word Bombazo signifies a Bomba jam. It is where the community gathers to celebrate life through its rhythms, song and dance. Our company members are professionals in their fields. They hail from different countries, such as Asian, European, Central and South America, from the Caribbean and African Diaspora. All are strong technical dancers, learning, sharing and performing Bomba.
