Program areas at Boneshaker Project
Education Outreach - Boneshaker Project provides active programs for local Austin kids, free or low cost, in schools and parks across town. Boneshaker Project tours schools in the Austin area and introduces students and families to the joys and benefits of being active and enjoying healthy lifestyles. These educational and unique events are always offered free of cost and have included fitness safety lessons, bike rodeos, obstacle courses, surfing, and other fun fitness activities. Boneshaker Project joins our Central Texas community at various events throughout the year. The Boneshaker Experience means we bring our mobile fleet of bikes and provide free, fun activities with expert coaching. Find us at Whole Foods Markets, Tejas Trails, Dirt Remedy, Viva Streets, NLand, the Driveway Series and more
Running Program - The Boneshaker Run Clubs are afterschool programs on campus in Central Texas Middle Schools and Elementary Schools. We partner with schools to create a club that provides group-based, adventurous training through the elite Born to Run Program.
Programs In Parks - In partnership with Austin Parks Recreation, Boneshaker Project takes after-school programs to the next level with fitness, bikes, and lots of laughs This program is free to kids enrolled in the parks program, but it is also free and open to any community youth. Boneshaker has a mobile fleet of bikes that we bring to each park on afternoons during the school year. Participants have access to bikes, helmets, snacks and professional coaching. Kids learn bike maintenance and safety skills before going on rides and challenging their limits.
