Boosters of Old Town San Diego State Historic Park preserve historic resources and provide educational programs such as historic interpretation. Despite most events being cancelled due to COVID-19, BOOT provided funds for a virtual Interpretive and Educational program and the grand opening of the Land of Illusion exhibit. BOOT also financially supported the salaries of the State Park's blacksmith and animal handler, key components of the educational programming that attracts over three million visitors in a non-COVID-19 year.
