851 Patient Visits from 395 individual patients. 6,552 volunteer hours by 141 volunteers and 290 spiritual consults. BFC offers comprehensive medical care including primary care and some specialty clinics: Diabetes education Physical Therapy Gynecology and other preventative services such as Mammogram screenings. Received grants from Oregon Community Fund Care Oregon MJ Murdock Trust to use toward supporting our Community Health Worker Volunteer Coordinator and Executive Director wages.
The Borland Free Clinic began a capital fundraising campaign in 2023 to raise funds to build out our existing space. The updated space will enable us to attract more providers extend hours of operations and ultimately care for more patients. The $1.5M project is expected to be complete in April 2024. The majority of the project is privately funded through donations from the community. The expenses associated with this revenue have been recorded as construction in progress on our balance sheet. We will begin depreciating in 2024 when the project is complete.
Continued Behavioral Health Services on a limited basis as a result of receiving a grant from Tualatin Together. Providing 30-minute sessions aimed at helping patients manage difficult emotions challenge negative thinking and problem solve life challenges. Will use remaining grant funds in 2024 and seek to find additional sources of funding and or additional volunteer providers.
