The Marin Council Boy Scouts of America scouting program reaches about 2,000 youth in Marin county, many of them in outreach programs. The Marin Council is exceeding the national standards for youth retention, quality program, cub scout camping programs, and Boy scout camping programs. Our outstanding properties (camp tamarancho in the hills above fairfax and camp Marin sierra near blue canyon in the high sierra) are well known for the their outstanding camping programs, and attract Scouts and the general public from all over northern and central California and Nevada.
