Boy Scouts of America Denver Area Council #61 prepares young people to make ethical and moral choices by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law. The traditional Scouting program served a total of 9,124 youth members in 2021, starting with Lion Scouts in kindergarten to develop social skills and learn about the outdoors. Additionally, non-traditional Scouting programs under Learning for Life served 110 youth members in 2021, offering diverse opportunities such as career exploration for high school students and tutoring services.

Program areas at Boy Scouts of America - 061 Greater Colorado Council

Camping & activities - in 2023, 10,025 youth and adults participated in our camping programs at mcneil scout ranch which is spread over 3,500 acres in Colorado's black forest area. This property offers a unique array of programs and experiences including aquatics, shooting, cycling and horsemanship. The donald e scott adventure point is 20,000 square feet of class rooms, stem labs and adventure space that operates year round. 4,408 youth participated in our programs and earned 1,113 merit badges. Our cub scout day camps offer weekly programs at parks, churches and other community areas. Cub Scouts interact with youth from other communities and neighborhoods while working on advancement and other skills.
Scouting program - our co-ed programs include cub Scouts for youth aged 6- 10 and Scouts bsa for youth aged 11-17. Youth aged 14-20 who are looking for even more adventure participate in our venturing, exploring or sea scouting programs. Scouts of all ages camp and learn about the outdoors while developing their social and leadership skills. We had 9,005 Scouts guided by almost 4,300 adult volunteers in 2023. 322 Scouts earned the rank of eagle scout including 23 women.
