Boys and Girls Clubs of El Paso enables young people, especially those that need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible adults. The Club helps youth become responsible, caring citizens by developing leadership skills and providing opportunities for planning and decision-making. They implement programs for academic enrichment and school engagement in partnership with youth, parents, schools, and other community stakeholders. Targeted dropout prevention, intervention and case management is also provided.

Program areas at Boys and Girls Clubs of El Paso

Education and career: in partnership with youth, parents, schools, and other community stakeholders, Boys & Girls Clubs of El Paso implements programs for academic enrichment and school engagement; targeted dropout prevention; and intervention and case management programs. Our aim is to ensure that all club members graduate from high school on time, ready for a post-secondary education and a 21st-century career. Our programs include: homework assistance and tutoring through "power hour", job readiness through "jr staff", financial responsibility skills through money matters and career exploration and mentoring through "career launch". Project learn reinforces the academic enrichment and school engagement of young people.
Character & leadership: helping youth become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process is the main thrust of these programs. They also develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to club and communiy and celebrating our national heritage. The million members, million hours of service initiative engages our members in community volunteering and service projects; keystone and torch Clubs provide leadership development opportunities; and youth of the year is our premier, national recognition program for club members, promoting service to the club, community and family, academic success, strong moral character, life goals and poise and public speaking.
Science technology engineering & math (stem)initiative: these programs introduce members to stem activities such as robotics, nanotechnology, solar energy and clay animation and provide opportunities for youth to explore careers in stem.
