Program areas at BCNY

Clubhouse activities- since 1872, The Boys' Club of New York (bcny) has supported The empowerment of nearly a million young men.bcny fulfills its mission by offering engaging and diverse youth programs after-school and on saturdays. Our locations in east harlem and flushing are fully equipped with learning centers, audio-visual studios, reading rooms, game rooms, outdoor spaces, wellness rooms, mental health support and athletic facilities. In fy23, bcny filled The clubhouses with special programs and events, inviting alumni and special guests to engage with members and expand their world views. Most importantly, members cultivated a sense of belonging, ownership and leadership inside and outside of our walls.
Educational services-bcny engages with members to build academic confidence and a love of learning. Our specialized programs like high school access, family academy, read, homework assistance, project teach and career and college prep support members and their families as they plan for their futures.
Camp- over The summer, The clubhouses offered special daytime programs in east harlem and flushing. Members also traveled throughout New York city, discovering opportunities to explore nature, recreation, art and culture. Bcny's harriman base camp hosted another summer of sleep away camp. Members were able to cultivate independence and connections to nature and their peers in beautiful harriman state park.
Food program- by providing meals and snacks to all members, families rest assured their children will have energy to participate in an array of activities and return home content.
Community expansion- for The first time in nearly 150 years, Boys' Club is actively seeking opportunities to increase access to its life-changing programs in brooklyn and The bronx. After extensive and detailed research, working with community liaisons, cbos, and schools, bcny deployed its free, high-quality programs and expertly training staff to meet critical needs in crown heights and brownsville. Thanks to our research, strong community outreach efforts and partnerships, we will also begin programming in a high-need area in The bronx: bcny at boys prep in mott haven will launch in The fall of fy24.
