The St. Louis program emphasizes the importance of family structure, job creation and education empowering families to focus on these aspects while maintaining stable home lives. The acquisition and renovation of homes in the north St. Louis area provide safe and secure housing for families, along with wrap-around services. Community involvement is a priority, with local contractors employed for renovation work. Families rent the homes and participate in quarterly seminars tailored to their needs. They also contribute by volunteering in the community for two to four hours each month. A dedicated community coordinator collaborates with each family to link them with suitable nonprofit organizations and services. So far, this program has successfully employed 116 construction workers at a 78% minority rate. The St. Louis initiative has secured 14 properties, renovated 10 homes, and positively impacted 49 family members.
