Sports and after school program and food service and pro shop: here at the Brandon Sports and Aquatic center, we serve over 9,500 individuals each year. Over 800 of those individuals are children whose needs we serve within our array of Sports and educational programs. We provide transportation from local elementary schools to our facility during the academic school year and provide after school programs at nine public schools. Our after school programs bridge the gap between the school day and home for over 700 children throughout the greater Brandon area. During the after school programs, students are given the opportunity to finish homework, work on projects, study for tests, polish reading skills, participate in clubs and more. The after school programs are provided for school readiness approved children. We also provide daily programming for adults with disabilities during the workweek of monday through friday. Our aquatics department provides hundreds of free learn to swim lessons through our mobile swim program and other community projects. Scholarship funds are raised for students who cannot afford to attend our programming.
