Program areas at Brave Camps
As technology becomes a growing industry and a leading topic of discussion, we have developed a program that integrates social impact projects, designthinking strategy and web development through coding. The goal of each bravecamp is to challenge girls to step outside of their comfort zones to explore the greater purpose of technology, while guiding them to see themselves as the authors of their own lives. Through hands on learning, games, mentorship and leadership activities, each student will complete our program feeling empowered, supported and purposeful in a new way. Outside of Camps, we offer a series of workshops where girls get to work with local tech companies learning a variety of trades such as virtual reality, 3d printing and ux & design. In 2017, we ran a total of 5 bravecamps and 15 Brave workshops, working with a total of 362 high school girls in various locations.
