Program areas at Breakthrough Miami

Breakthrough Miami impacts 2,000 young people each year, including more than 1500 5th-12th graders on an 8-year scholar journey, 140 teaching fellows serving in a paid summer leadership internship, and 500 student volunteers across eight sites. More than 90% of Breakthrough scholars take advanced courses, 100% graduate from high school on time, and 98% enroll immediately in college. A robust americorps program, Breakthrough has grown to support 154 members serving as teaching fellows and success coaches, and is now one of the largest partners in Florida. Breakthrough Miami was honored as the 2023 program of the year by the children's trust, recognizing outstanding excellence in youth development. Building on 33 years of experience. Breakthrough Miami is actively expanding to serve more students and families in south Florida.
