Pro bono in-school program for stars academy high school - paterson school district - new jersey:program service expenses: $0revenue: $0bridge conducted a series of pro bono in-school playwriting workshops for stars academy high school in paterson, new jersey. Specifically, the program served a select world history 9th grade class of 10 special education students. Each workshop was facilitated by joe quintero along with the support of the classroom teacher, spanning 6 forty-minute sessions; students learned about and wrote character profiles as well as dialogue while incorporating conflict, relationship, action and resolution. Utilizing their current unit of study of the industrial revolution as a launching point, they were able to create a short one act play that addressed their concern over the injustices of child abuse in the work force today.
